1. Pivacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
BEK Pro Skills ("BEK Pro Skills", "we", "us", "our") is a CPD accreditation company providing interactive CPD course content, assessment tools and accreditation services to hair, beauty and aesthetics training providers across the UK. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data belonging to our registered training providers and their nominated tutors/administrators. BEK Pro Skills is not a training provider, does not enrol or hold a relationship with individual learners, and does not maintain any learner database or register — this is explained further below.
1.1 Who we are
BEK Pro Skills is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, which relates to our registered Providers and their staff. For any query relating to this policy or your data, contact info@bekproskills.co.uk.
1.2 What data we collect
We collect data about our registered training providers and their staff only. We do not collect, store or hold learner personal data, and we have no learner database or register. Specifically, we may collect:
Provider/academy details: business name, trading address, contact name, email, phone number, insurance details, and payment/billing information.
Tutor and administrator details: name, email, role, and login credentials for the provider portal.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and usage data collected automatically when you use our website or provider portal.
Communications: records of correspondence with us, including emails, WhatsApp messages and enquiry form submissions.
A learner may be asked to type their own name into the online assessment tool so that it can appear on their certificate. This information is used only to generate that certificate at the point the assessment is completed — it is not stored, retained, or added to any database by BEK Pro Skills once the certificate has been produced.
1.3 How we use your data
We use personal data to:
Register and administer training provider accounts and memberships.
Provide Providers with access to the course library, automated assessment tools and trainer resources.
Process membership fees, franchise revenue share payments and other billing via our payment providers.
Communicate with providers about their account, course library updates, and accreditation matters.
Send marketing communications to training providers who have opted in, which can be withdrawn at any time.
Maintain records required for accreditation integrity, quality assurance, and to respond to malpractice, complaints or appeals raised by Providers.
Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
1.4 Legal basis for processing
We process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (delivering the membership and course services you have registered for), legitimate interests (improving our services, preventing fraud, and maintaining accreditation standards), consent (marketing communications, where applicable), and legal obligation (record-keeping required for accreditation and financial compliance).
1.5 Certificate and assessment data
Where a learner completes a theory assessment at or above the required 80% pass mark, an automatically generated HTML certificate bearing a unique certificate number is issued directly to the learner at that moment. No copy of the certificate, and no record of the learner's name, is retained by BEK Pro Skills afterward — there is no central certificate register or learner database to consult. Learners are responsible for saving their own copy of their certificate at the point it is issued. Because no record is kept, BEK Pro Skills is not able to reissue, verify or replace a lost certificate; a learner who cannot produce their certificate will need to resit and re-pass the assessment to generate a new one. This is addressed further in our Certificate Fraud Policy (Section 7).
1.6 Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We may share Provider data with:
IT, hosting and platform providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. website hosting, email delivery, payment processing).
Insurer affiliates such as Westminster Indemnity, PolicyBee and Aesthetically Insured, only where a Provider has requested a referral or introduction.
Regulatory or professional bodies, where required to investigate malpractice, maladministration, complaints or appeals.
Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so.
As BEK Pro Skills does not collect or store learner personal data, there is no learner data for us to share with any third party.
1.7 Data retention
We retain Provider account and financial data for as long as the membership is active and for a further period afterwards as required for accounting and legal purposes. As set out in Section 1.5, we do not retain learner names, certificate copies, or any other learner data once a certificate has been generated.
1.8 Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact info@bekproskills.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
1.9 Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including access controls on the provider portal and secure hosting of course and assessment systems.
1.10 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website, with the "last updated" date shown above.
2. Terms and Conditions
BEK Pro Skills™ – Membership, Training Materials, CPD Accreditation & Awarding Body Services
Last updated: July 2026
2.1 Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all memberships, subscriptions, access to training materials, CPD accreditation services, awarding body services, educational content, assessments, and related services provided by BEK Pro Skills™ and BEK EduCredits™ (collectively, "we", "us", "our", "BEK Pro Skills").
By submitting an application, registering an account, enrolling on a programme, accessing our platform or materials, or making payment, you confirm that you:
Have read, understood, and fully agree to be bound by these Terms.
Have authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of your organisation.
Are a legitimate business entity eligible to use our services.
Failure to accept these Terms means you are not authorised to use our services.
2.2 Eligibility & Authorised Users
Our services are exclusively provided to registered business entities (limited companies, partnerships, sole traders), licensed training academies and educational institutions, qualified practitioners and professional service providers, and business owners with legitimate training or professional development operations.
We do not provide services to consumers purchasing for personal, non-business use; individuals without authorisation to represent their organisation; or entities operating in breach of professional regulations or licensing requirements.
You warrant that you are duly authorised to enter into this agreement and that all information provided during registration is accurate and complete. You are responsible for all activities conducted under your membership account.
2.3 Subscription & Service Periods
Service Duration: the initial membership/subscription period is 12 months from the date of payment receipt. The subscription automatically renews for successive 12-month periods unless cancelled in writing. Service access commences immediately upon successful payment. All access, certifications, credentials and branding rights are active only during paid periods.
Membership Start Date: the official membership start date is the date payment is successfully received and processed. Where alternative start dates are agreed in writing, these supersede the payment date. No services or access will be provided prior to payment receipt and clearance.
Active Membership Requirements: to maintain active membership status, you must maintain all current subscription payments on their due dates, comply with all terms in Section 2.9 (Professional Standards & Compliance), use services only in accordance with these Terms and applicable legislation, and not breach intellectual property rights or misuse materials (Section 2.6).
2.4 Fees, Payment & Billing
Pricing Structure: all fees are clearly stated at the point of application, based on the membership tier selected. For the Single Location tier this is a Registration/Onboarding Fee of £200 (payable once, non-refundable) plus a Monthly Subscription of £80 per calendar month (recurring); other tiers are priced as confirmed at registration. Additional services are charged at rates specified in the relevant service agreement.
Payment Terms: all fees are payable in advance. Registration fees must be paid before account activation. Monthly subscriptions are due on the agreed date each month (typically the 1st). Payment can be made in full or via monthly instalments as offered. Payment plans are a method of payment only and do not alter total fees payable or contract duration — the minimum contract term remains 12 months regardless of whether a monthly payment option is used. We accept payments via bank transfer, card payment, and other methods as specified.
Failed Payments & Suspension: failure to pay subscription fees when due may result in immediate suspension of services. Suspended accounts will have restricted access to materials, assessments and platform features. Access will be restored only when payment is brought fully up to date. Repeated payment failures may result in account termination (Section 2.5).
Currency & Charges: all prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP). VAT will be added to fees where applicable. Payment processing fees are your responsibility where applicable to your chosen payment method. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' written notice for renewal periods.
2.5 Cancellation, Refunds & Termination
Non-Refundable Fees: all membership fees and service fees are strictly non-refundable once the service period has commenced, regardless of whether services are used in full, partially or not at all, the reason for cancellation, or your circumstances at the time. The registration fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Mid-Period Cancellation: if you cancel during an active service period, no refund is issued for unused time; you remain liable for all outstanding fees for the current period; access may continue until the end of your paid period; and upon expiry, all access and branding rights terminate automatically.
Cancellation Procedure & Renewal: to cancel, written notice must be sent to info@bekproskills.co.uk with the subject line "Membership Cancellation Request", received at least 30 days before your renewal date. Renewal reminders may be issued as a courtesy but remain entirely your responsibility. If notice is not received within the 30-day window, the renewal payment will be processed and you will be liable for the full next period. Automatic renewal continues until we receive written cancellation notice.
Termination for Breach: we may suspend or terminate your membership immediately and without refund if you breach any material term of these Terms; misuse, redistribute or unauthorisedly share our materials (Section 2.6); fail to pay fees after notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy; breach professional standards or use services illegally; bring BEK Pro Skills into disrepute or breach confidentiality; or engage in fraudulent or dishonest conduct. Termination for breach is at our sole discretion and does not affect your liability for all fees incurred.
2.6 Intellectual Property Rights & Content Usage
Ownership of All Materials: all intellectual property — including training materials, course content and online resources, assessments and evaluation tools, certificates, accreditation marks and credentials, branding, logos, graphics and design elements, software and platform code, and educational strategies and methodologies — remains the exclusive property of BEK Pro Skills™ and BEK EduCredits™. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
Limited Licence to Use: we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use materials solely for your own training delivery and professional development purposes, within your registered organisation only, in compliance with these Terms, and for the duration of your active membership only. This licence does not permit you to reproduce, copy or create derivative works from any materials; share, distribute, sublicense or resell materials to third parties; modify or adapt any content or assessments; remove or alter copyright notices or branding; use materials for any purpose other than training your own clients; create competing products using our materials as a foundation; or archive/retain materials after membership ends.
Permitted Usage Only: you may deliver our training courses and materials to your direct clients within the scope of your membership — training learners enrolled with your academy, providing certificates to successfully completed learners, marketing your use of BEK Pro Skills accreditation, and displaying BEK Pro Skills branding in materials promoting your services. All other uses are strictly prohibited without our prior written consent.
Cessation of Use Upon Membership Expiry: on expiry or termination, all licences to use materials terminate automatically and immediately; you must cease all use of our branding, logos, certificates and materials, and remove references to BEK Pro Skills accreditation from your marketing. Learners who completed courses may retain certificates already issued, but you may not issue new certificates under our brand. Unauthorised use of materials post-termination constitutes intellectual property infringement, and we reserve the right to pursue legal action.
Your Content & Submissions: any content, feedback, suggestions or materials you provide to us during your membership ("Your Content") may be used by BEK Pro Skills for service improvement, research and analysis, and marketing and promotional activities (anonymised where applicable). You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use Your Content for these purposes.
2.7 Membership Renewal & Automatic Billing
Your membership will automatically renew for successive 12-month periods unless cancelled in writing, with notice received at least 30 days before your renewal date, sent to info@bekproskills.co.uk. Upon renewal, your account will be charged the current subscription fees for the next 12-month period; renewal fees may differ from your initial fees, and we will notify you of any price changes at least 30 days before renewal. Acceptance of renewal billing constitutes agreement to updated fees; if you do not wish to pay renewed fees, you must cancel in writing within the 30-day notice period. Courtesy renewal reminders may be sent but are advisory only — failure to receive one does not relieve you of your obligation to provide cancellation notice in time.
2.8 Business Closure, Dissolution & Change of Circumstances
Cessation of Operations: if your business ceases trading, dissolves or stops operating, your membership terminates at the end of the current paid period, no further renewal fees will be charged, and no refunds will be issued for remaining time. You must immediately cease use of all BEK Pro Skills materials and branding (Section 2.6). Written notice of closure should be provided to us as soon as possible.
Change of Business Structure or Ownership: if your business undergoes significant structural change, acquisition or change of ownership, your existing membership agreement may not automatically transfer to the new entity, and a new application and agreement may be required. Email us to discuss continuity.
2.9 Professional Standards & Compliance
Your Responsibilities: you are solely responsible for ensuring all training, practice and delivery comply with UK law and professional regulations; obtaining and maintaining appropriate professional indemnity insurance; compliance with relevant professional bodies and regulatory requirements; ensuring your trainers and practitioners hold appropriate qualifications and insurance; health and safety obligations in your delivery environment; data protection (GDPR) compliance in handling any learner information you hold; accurate assessment and certification practices; and professional conduct and adherence to industry standards.
No Liability for Your Delivery: BEK Pro Skills accepts no responsibility for how you deliver training or services to your clients, the competency or conduct of your staff or practitioners, outcomes resulting from your use of our materials, learner injuries, complaints or adverse incidents, or your compliance with regulations, professional standards, or insurance arrangements. You acknowledge that you are an independent organisation operating under your own governance, liability and professional standards — use of BEK Pro Skills materials does not transfer that responsibility to us.
Insurance & Indemnity: you must maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance throughout your membership. You agree to indemnify BEK Pro Skills against any claims arising from your use of our materials or services, your training delivery, practice or client interactions, breaches of law or professional standards by your organisation, or misuse or misrepresentation of our credentials or accreditation.
2.10 Data Protection & Privacy
We process personal data belonging to registered Providers and their nominated staff in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as set out in our Privacy Policy (Section 1 of this pack). BEK Pro Skills does not process or hold learner personal data under any circumstances — we have no learner database, register, or role in receiving learner information from Providers. Any learner name entered into our assessment tool is used only transiently to generate that learner's certificate at the point of completion and is not retained by us afterward (see Section 1.5). Responsibility for learner data — including obtaining consent, keeping it accurate, and complying with GDPR — sits entirely with the Provider, who controls and processes that data using their own systems.
2.11 Limitation of Liability
Liability Cap: our total liability to any member for all claims arising in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by that member in the preceding 12 months.
Excluded Losses: we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses; loss of income, revenue or profits; loss of business opportunity or reputation; loss of data or use of services; damages arising from your use of materials or services; or third-party claims or learner complaints.
Exceptions to Limitations: nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, breaches of fundamental contractual obligations, or intellectual property infringement by us.
2.12 Service Availability & Modifications
We will use reasonable efforts to ensure services are available and accessible, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for temporary unavailability due to maintenance or updates, technical issues or system failures, internet outages affecting your access, or third-party service failures.
We may update, modify or discontinue services or features at any time. Where changes materially affect your service, we will provide reasonable notice (typically 30 days); continued use following notice constitutes acceptance, and if changes are unacceptable you may cancel within the notice period. You agree to accept platform and system updates and to maintain compatible technology and internet connectivity.
2.13 Acceptable Use & Conduct
You agree to use our services only for legitimate business training and professional development, in accordance with law and professional standards, honestly and in good faith, and without circumventing security or access controls.
You must not engage in illegal activity or breach professional regulations; harass, defame or harm any individual or organisation; attempt to hack, alter or access systems unauthorisedly; create competing products using our materials; make false claims about BEK Pro Skills; represent our materials or credentials as your own creation; or share materials with non-members or unauthorised parties. Violation may result in immediate termination (Section 2.5).
2.14 Disclaimers & Warranties
Materials and services are provided on an "as-is" basis. Except as expressly stated, we make no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness or currency of content, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or satisfactory quality, or results or outcomes from using materials.
Materials are provided for training and professional development purposes only and do not constitute medical, legal or professional advice, recommendations for specific clinical practices, endorsement of particular products or treatments, or guaranteed learning outcomes or competency certification. You are responsible for ensuring your practice is appropriate, lawful and clinically/professionally sound.
2.15 Termination & Remedies
Either party may terminate this agreement by mutual written agreement; in the case of material breach (after written notice and 14 days to remedy, where applicable); by you, via the cancellation notice process in Section 2.5; or by us, for breach, non-payment or misuse (Section 2.5).
Upon termination, your access to services ceases immediately, all IP rights revert fully to BEK Pro Skills, you must cease using branding, materials and credentials, payment obligations for fees already incurred remain due, and surviving clauses (IP, liability, confidentiality) continue.
2.16 Confidentiality
You acknowledge that our materials, systems, methodologies, assessment approaches and business practices are confidential. You agree to keep all materials confidential, not disclose them to competitors or unauthorised parties, not use confidential information to create competing services, and protect materials from unauthorised access. This obligation continues even after membership ends.
2.17 Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
If a dispute arises, contact info@bekproskills.co.uk to attempt informal resolution; we will respond within 10 working days. These Terms are governed by English law and construed in accordance with English legal principles, with the courts of England and Wales having exclusive jurisdiction. If legal proceedings become necessary, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of English courts, bear costs proportionate to the outcome, and attempt to settle before escalating to litigation.
2.18 Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to members in writing with at least 30 days' notice; where changes substantially affect your rights or obligations, you may cancel within the notice period without penalty. Continued use of services after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Any updated version will include an effective date, from which it applies.
2.19 Contact & Queries
For any questions regarding these Terms, or to provide cancellation notice, contact info@bekproskills.co.uk (Business: BEK Pro Skills™ | BEK EduCredits™). Please include your full name, organisation name and membership details in all correspondence.
2.20 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable or unlawful by a court, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
By submitting payment or accessing our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and fully accept these Terms and Conditions, and that you are authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of your organisation. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BEK Pro Skills and supersede any prior understandings or agreements.
3. Cookies Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Our website and provider portal use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work properly, understand how it is used, and improve your experience.
3.1 What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device and remember information about your visit.
3.2 Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies — required for core website and portal functionality, such as keeping you logged in and enabling secure registration and checkout. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our website (e.g. via our website and hosting platforms) so we can improve content and navigation.
Functional cookies — remember preferences to improve your experience across visits.
Marketing cookies — used where we run advertising (e.g. on Facebook) to measure and improve the relevance of adverts shown to training providers.
3.3 Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website or provider portal, including your ability to log in and access course content.
3.4 Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use to run our website and marketing, such as our website builder, payment provider and social media platforms. These third parties are responsible for their own cookie and privacy practices.
4. GDPR Statement
Last updated: July 2026
BEK Pro Skills is committed to complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 in everything we do.
4.1 Our commitment
We process personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently, and only for the specific purposes described in our Privacy Policy. We collect no more data than is necessary, keep it accurate and up to date, and do not retain it for longer than needed.
4.2 Data controller
BEK Pro Skills acts as the data controller for personal data relating to registered Providers and their tutors and administrators only. We hold no learner personal data and are not a data controller or processor in respect of learners, whose data (where collected) is a matter for the Provider.
4.3 International transfers
Where any of our service providers process data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
4.4 Data protection by design
We build data protection considerations into our systems and processes, including access controls on our provider portal, restricted staff access to personal data, and secure handling of assessment and certification records.
4.5 Reporting a data concern
If you believe your data has been mishandled or you wish to raise a data protection concern, contact info@bekproskills.co.uk in the first instance. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
5. Complaints Procedure
Last updated: July 2026
BEK Pro Skills is committed to providing a high-quality, reliable accreditation service to training providers, and to handling any complaint fairly, promptly and confidentially. This procedure primarily applies to complaints from registered Providers and their tutors regarding BEK Pro Skills' service, course content, or assessment tools. As BEK Pro Skills holds no learner data and has no direct relationship with individual learners, a learner wishing to raise a concern about their theory access or assessment should do so via their Provider in the first instance; where the concern relates specifically to a technical fault with the BEK Pro Skills assessment tool itself, we will accept it directly.
5.1 What can be complained about
The quality, accuracy or accessibility of course content or assessments.
The conduct or communication of BEK Pro Skills staff.
Billing, membership or franchise revenue-share disputes.
Technical issues relating to certificate generation or the assessment tool.
Any other aspect of the service provided by BEK Pro Skills.
Complaints about a Provider's own delivery of practical training, teaching quality, or a tutor's qualifications should be raised directly with that Provider, or with their insurer or relevant regulatory body where appropriate, as BEK Pro Skills does not deliver, oversee, or have any responsibility for practical training.
5.2 How to complain
Complaints should be submitted in writing to info@bekproskills.co.uk, including your name, Provider/course details where relevant, and a clear description of the issue and any supporting evidence.
5.3 Our process
We will acknowledge receipt of a complaint within 5 working days.
The complaint will be reviewed by BEK Pro Skills, drawing on relevant records (e.g. assessment logs, correspondence) as needed.
We aim to provide a full response and outcome within 20 working days of acknowledgement. Where more time is needed, we will explain why and give a revised timeframe.
If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome, they may request the matter be escalated for further review (see Section 5.4).
5.4 Escalation
Where a complainant remains dissatisfied following our standard process, they may request that the matter be reviewed by a senior member of the BEK Pro Skills team not previously involved in the original decision. This escalation request should be made in writing within 10 working days of receiving the original outcome.
5.5 Record keeping
BEK Pro Skills keeps a record of all complaints received, including the nature of the complaint, actions taken and the outcome, to support continuous improvement of our services.
6. Appeals Procedure
Last updated: July 2026
This procedure sets out how a Provider (or a learner, in relation to a technical issue with the BEK Pro Skills assessment tool only) may appeal a decision made by BEK Pro Skills, including accreditation decisions, or the outcome of a complaint or malpractice investigation.
6.1 Grounds for appeal
A decision was made incorrectly based on the facts or evidence available.
The process followed by BEK Pro Skills was not applied correctly or fairly.
New evidence has come to light that was not available at the time of the original decision.
Appeals against an assessment result on the basis of disagreement with correct marking alone are not normally accepted, since assessments are auto-marked and learners have unlimited resit attempts; however, appeals relating to a technical fault, access issue or administrative error affecting an assessment attempt will be considered.
6.2 How to appeal
Appeals must be submitted in writing to info@bekproskills.co.uk within 10 working days of the original decision being communicated, setting out the grounds for appeal and any supporting evidence.
6.3 Our process
We will acknowledge the appeal within 5 working days.
The appeal will be reviewed by a member of the BEK Pro Skills team not involved in the original decision, wherever practicable.
A written outcome will be provided within 20 working days, explaining the reasoning behind the decision.
The outcome of an appeal handled under this procedure is final.
6.4 Record keeping
Records of appeals, including grounds, evidence considered and outcomes, are retained by BEK Pro Skills to support quality assurance and continuous improvement.
7. Certificate Fraud Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy sets out how BEK Pro Skills protects the integrity of the theory completion certificates it issues, and how suspected fraudulent, altered or misused certificates are handled.
7.1 How certificates work
On passing the required online theory assessment at 80% or above, a learner is issued an auto-generated HTML certificate bearing a unique certificate number. The certificate is provided directly to the learner at the point of completion only. BEK Pro Skills holds no learner data, keeps no certificate register, and retains no copy of any certificate once issued, and therefore cannot look up, verify against a stored copy, or reissue a certificate after the point of issue. It is the learner's own responsibility to save and retain their copy at the time it is generated. A learner unable to produce their certificate must resit and re-pass the assessment in order to generate a new, valid certificate.
7.2 What counts as certificate fraud
Altering the name, course title, certificate number, date, or pass status shown on a certificate.
Creating or presenting a fabricated certificate purporting to be issued by BEK Pro Skills.
A Provider or third party issuing, copying or reproducing a BEK Pro Skills certificate on behalf of a learner who did not complete and pass the relevant assessment.
Using or presenting another learner's certificate as one's own.
7.3 Certificate numbers
Each certificate carries a unique certificate number generated at the point of issue. As BEK Pro Skills holds no register or database, this number cannot be looked up or verified against a stored record after the fact. The certificate number format itself is structured to be specific to a course and issue event, and irregularities in this structure may be used to help identify a fabricated or altered certificate where one is reported or presented to us for review.
7.4 Reporting suspected fraud
Anyone who suspects a BEK Pro Skills certificate has been fabricated, altered or misused — including insurers, employers, other training providers or members of the public — should report this to info@bekproskills.co.uk, providing the certificate in question and details of the concern.
7.5 Investigation and consequences
Reports of suspected certificate fraud will be reviewed by BEK Pro Skills. Where a Provider is found to have facilitated or failed to prevent certificate fraud by a learner, this will be treated as malpractice under our accreditation standards and may result in suspension or termination of that Provider's membership. Where an individual learner is found to have fraudulently created or altered a certificate, BEK Pro Skills will notify the relevant Provider and may, where appropriate, notify affected third parties such as insurers or employers who have relied on the certificate.
7.6 Prevention
Providers are asked to remind learners at the point of enrolment that they are responsible for saving their own certificate on issue, and that no replacement can be issued without resitting the assessment. This message is a key safeguard against both accidental loss and any incentive to fraudulently recreate a certificate.
